Basildon Area Guide

Basildon was created as a new town in 1949 from the merger of several smaller towns, and expanded to accommodate overspill population from London. Residents also enjoy easy access to festival leisure park which is one of Essex’s number one leisure destinations. For those who like to be active, Basildon sporting Village offers a brilliant array of facilities and is one of the local area’s leading leisure centres.
